At Menai Track and Field we want to make sure all the personal information we have collected about you, is safe and secure whether we collect it through our website, SPONDS or from other sources. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and complying with the principles of applicable data protection laws in all that we do.
This Policy set outs our commitments to you, in compliance with and beyond the General Data Protection Regulation (commonly known as the GDPR) and explains how we collect, store and use your personal information

You may give us information about yourself by filling in forms, when joining, registering with the club, or an event or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise.
Information you give may include name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number , Welsh Athletics URN number and gender. We may ask for health information and other data classed as ‘special category personal data’.
This is to enable us to administer your membership effectively and any services e.g. competition entry you may register for. This will be shared with club managers, leagues , county and national competition providers for entry into events.
- Grants and funding applications for the club
- Monitor trends of membership
- Satisfaction surveys for members and exiting the club membership.
- Processing membership forms and payments
- To communicate club activities , renewals and invitation to social events including the use of SPONDS
- To inform of race/competition results
- To inform membership of kit merchandise, second hand sales and fundraising events
- Shared with Welsh Athletics to enable your access to the MyAthletics portal
Menai Track and Field AC has the following methods of social media:

- Facebook Group {Membership approved only}
- SPONDS.
Photographs of you in training or competition may be used in the above social media.
If you do not wish to have your name published in this way please let the Club Secretary know in writing.
Your rights regarding your personal data:
You have the right at any time to request access to , rectify or erase data. You have the right not to share data but if you chose not to share your data we may not be able to register you or administer your membership.
Menai Track and Field AC will follow guidance form Welsh Athletics Association and ensure the policy and dat handling will conform with the GDPR.
