9 Golds, 5 Silvers and 5 Bronze for Menai at Welsh U13, U17 & U20 Championships

Welsh U13, U17 & U20 Championships 112th & 13th August 2023

Menai Track and Field had a memorable weekend in Newport with one of their most successful championships. In total we achieved 19 Medals.

Made up of 9 Golds, 5 Silvers and 5 Bronze a magnificent effort across the board in Track and Field events.

Gold Medals going to Huw Williams in U17M 400m Hurdles; Gethin Griffith in U17M 400m; Eli Jones in U20W 100m; Cara Scott with a 6 second lead in U17W 1500m S/C; Martha Bown winning the double with 2 Golds for U13G 800m and 1500m(a 9 second lead ahead of 2nd place); Also collecting 2 Gold medals and again attaining the double was Beca Bown for U17W 1500m and 3000m; and Gold for Non Redvers Jones in U20W 400m.

Silver Medals to Huw Williams U17M High Jump, Eli Jones U20W 200m, Tamsin Seguin U13G 800m, Tudur Harper Lloyd U20M 1500m, Josef Morgan U20M 800m.

Bronze Medals to Huw Williams U17M 100m Hurdles, Martha Bown U13G Discus, Ewan Jones U20M 100m, Jake Rowlands U17M High Jump, Tamsin Seguin U13G 1500m.

There were also a number of athletes achieving their season’s best and reaching the finals in their first championships.
