Endurance Athletes fly the flag for Menai at the first British Athletics X Challenge of the cross country season.

Having made the long journey and commitment to travel to the Welsh capital, this was the first of the UK’s top quality races this season – The Cardiff X challenge. Martha Bown started Menai’s representation, running in her first year category of U15 girls with a creditable 15th overall throughout the UK, she was 3rd Welsh girl to finish in her race. Followed by U15 boys Osian Parry with an amazing race finishing 3rd and First Welsh man home. Next race, U/17- U/20, we saw Beca Bown back to her form with an amazing run, finishing 20th and 1st Welsh U/20. Then we moved on to the U/17-U20 men Miguel Jenkins had another great run finishing 53rd over all, 4 th Welsh man and 1st under 17. Well done all of you, great racing and all competing against a very high quality field of runners.. Plus congratulations to Cari Hughes crossing in 4th place in the senior lady’s race ( we can partly claim Cari as she learnt her trade as a junior at Menai !
