FAB-4 represent WALES at SIAB

The Combined SIAB (Schools international Athletics Board) and Home Countries Cross Country International took place at the picturesque Wollaton Park Estate on Saturday 24th March. Dry weather conditions and a relatively firm course made for competitive racing at the estate, situated on the outskirts of Nottingham.

It was the Junior Girls (U15) who got the programme underway with Samia Jones (Syr Huw Owen) running with the form she has shown throughout the season into this race and can be proud of her 5th placing when crossing the finish line. Abbi Parkinson in her first outing in a Welsh Vest did herself and her country proud, finishing in 24th place, with both girls scoring in the process.

The Middle Girls (U17) race saw another dominant performance from the English Schools team with Welsh Schools debutant Ffion Madi Rees Jones in her first year finishing in 27th place and 5th Welsh Girl over the line, along with the rest of her youthful team can be proud of the way they performed on the day.

Osian Perrin (U17) ran in the Middle Boys event, crossing the line in 16th place, 3rd Welsh runner scoring, helping his team to an excellent bronze medal finish.
