The cross country season kicked off on Saturday 6^th October with the first fixture of the North Wales Senior Cross Country League. With many of the club’s athletes saving their legs for the Cardiff Cross Challenge, a small group of four athletes made their way to Baschurch near Shrewsbury. All four lined up in the Women’s race which included U17 and U20 women and U17 men.

Leading our women home with a 2^nd place finish in 23mins 56secs was Sarah Livett in her first British cross country race since returning from the USA. Next in was Ffion Madi Rees Jones in 23^rd (4^th U17W) in 26mins 6secs and making up the team was Catrin Donnelly in 41^st(7^th U20W) in 27mins 40secs. The women finished 3^rd team in Division 2.

Unfortunately after completing the first lap of two in 2^nd place, Daniel Stones had to withdraw on the second lap.
